Order Chicken McNuggets, and get way more than you bargained for. Yet another reason to never eat at McDonalds — unless you’re looking for a fried chicken head.

What teen band wins the prize for lowering our standards? Also, what the heck is this guy thinking?

Front page of the Boston Globe today has an article about the new cable bridge. Every morning, my train to work stops almost directly under this thing, and I have to say it’s pretty amazing. Can’t wait till it’s finished. Here are some more photos of it from bigdig.com.

Ok, so the wacky guy that’s building a rocket in his backyard has a website. I’m beginning to think that he’s serious — there’s even a tentative launch date set for summer 2001. Is he nuts? I guess a little, but damn he’ll have some serious bragging rights (provided he survives).

First someone makes a portable Atari 2600, and now someone goes ahead and stuffs all the 2600 games and the console in the body of an old 7200. Amazing.

Getting your car stolen is a big bummer. But what if the thief was a perfect gentlemen

Holy cow, TheBeatles.com is finally up — and it’s pretty darn cool. Super-hip design, and plenty of photos and rare stuff. Very cool site.

Anyone know of a decent brand of keyboard? I’ve had an impossible time trying to find reviews. I guess it’s kind of an overlooked piece of hardware.

Once again, for the truth about the presidential election I turn to the best source on the Web — The Onion. This article is hillarious.

I used Windows 2K for the first time today (yup, I’m a little behind the times). Anyway, I was pretty impressed overall. Seemed pretty responsive and snappy. Some useful new features (gee, they even stole “Magnify” from BeOS). I’m ashamed to say though, that the fade effect on the menus is what made me hop on eBay to find a good deal on a copy of the Professional version. Nothing like a little razzle-dazzle… or something.

If there’s one TV comercial that bugs me to no end, it’s the one for the lamest looking movie of the year — Little Nicky. What is up with this movie? How did it get made, and how is Harvey Kietel in it? I’m just confused…

Today, I was thinking how funny it would be to walk up to a total stranger and say “Bob?!… Bob Filangy??! (or whatever).. Wow, how long has it been??? 10 years?!!” and then continue to pretend like that person was an old friend from years past. Of course, I quickly realized that I didn’t have the guts to pull it off.

I broke down and got a new mouse. It’s one of those new-fangled optical ones. I must say it’s really nice without the ball to deal with. Very smooth.
