TicTac
Ingredients: template design; XHTML, CSS development. May 2004

As a part of a large Blogger relaunch, SimpleBits was contracted by Google (by way of Stopdesign) to design two templates, free for Blogger users to apply to their own weblogs.

TicTac (and it’s blue variation) was inspired by the pattern on my shower curtain, which coincidentally fit in nicely with Blogger’s new “rounded” look. The designs make up 2 of the 26 templates created by an all-star cast of web designers (Todd Dominey, Dan Rubin, Dave Shea and Jeffrey Zeldman), assembled and directed by Douglas Bowman of Stopdesign

By offering standards-compliant layouts using lean markup and CSS, Blogger will be helping to promote web standards to a whole new set of weblog users around the globe.
